Sooo much excitement this weekend over the Free to Play announcement. And such a strong reaction from the “community” NIMMMOs* about the influx of Freemium players.

But I’d like to talk a little today about a much worse problem in LotRO - that of the FFPs, or Free Floating Players. There is a lengthy thread on the forums that produces much evidence of this serious issue. I’ve provided more documentation in my gallery in many screen shots.
Honestly, if I were going to have an elitist attitude, it would be against floaty players and mobs. They’re a little OP. Just sayin’.
Maybe this is Turbine’s way of introducing us to cosmetic mobs. I’d love to have this little guy floating around behind me everywhere, pretending to be all scary without any legs. I’d have to change his name though - ain’t no way Blondie here is going to be able to pronounce THAT! (actually I came across this Rare Elite mob near the Rift, I had almost no buffs and he mopped Angmar with my shiny new armour. Twice.)
Funning this weekend included a run with Arkenstone’s own Swifty and Hammo into DN. Or maybe I should say ON DN….
I should have won the dance contest with this disco move….
