Clarysta Voices Her Opinion

I posted this on the forums, into yet another I’m-right-you’re-wrong/no-you’re-wrong threads. Thought I’d put it here so I can find it again - I may reuse it in another forum thread some day. LOL at the thought of just copying and pasting from now on. :)
Side note: does anyone else ever think “copying and pastying”?
It’s too bad there’s no way to bring the profile from my.lotro.com into the forum signatures - that way you could see where people are coming from when they make their comments.
About me: I just summed up my /played time and it’s over 7 months. I’ve played since February 2008.
I have 7 toons on my main server. Plus 2 monster players and 2 toons sitting on other servers, none of which are included in that /played time. I had 2 toons that sat at level 50 when it was cap for about 4 months, and 4 toons that sat at the former level 60 cap for a year. And now those 4 are sitting at the current level 65 cap. Until very recently, I was raiding with one of the top raiding kins in North America.
I now spend a heck of a lot of time sitting on a fence post in Bree, chatting with friends, associates, perfect strangers, because I find that infinitely more exciting and interesting than trying to perfect my LIs, or grind for …something…whatever…in DG.
So I think you’d have to know that about me to understand me when I voice my opinion, “Yeah, LotRO is an ok little RP world, but there’s not much fun to do now at level cap.” I get almost 100% of my fun now from old content.
I don’t think someone with /played time of 7 days, or with 7 toons under level 40, can offer up an argument against my opinion that I would take to heart. Doesn’t mean their opinion isn’t valid, it’s just not valid for me. Doesn’t mean their playstyle isn’t actually a lot of fun, it just doesn’t echo mine.
My message here is, we all are coming from different playstyles. Respect that, respect that opinions are just that, and offer up constructive criticism to Turbine rather than try to critique each other. And for those of you that want happy-happy, remember that constructive criticism brings growth, constant praise brings stagnation.
