The Champ and I have run GA a couple of times now. (Note that I am terrible with the names in Middle Earth). Once on the Lovely Lady Captain, and the second time I jumped on my little 32 guard. The first time through, Mighty Captain AoE! and Shing-Shing! and oops, down goes a beehive. So much for reading the text on the challenge quest, eh?
Oh wait, the real first time through? Was 2 years ago, at level and original instance. My group spent probably 45 minutes just trying to burn Ivar - the banner guards kept healing him and we just didn’t have enough DPS at level. (The Champ wasn’t there for that one). So someone switched to their level 50 minstrel, who tanked Ivar while our tank did DPS. Fun times. Long night though. And I never did finish that stinking “Kill 30 gloom-waters” quest until I ran it last week.
I helped a group through it this weekend too. Hanging out in Bree, I saw the request for 1 more come across enough times that I knew the group was about to have to call it. Bringing a level 65 to speed-slaughter the way through probably was not on their agenda, but I think they enjoyed it nonetheless. I held back a little, and the warden (36 I think?) actually was able to hold some aggro from me
Except for the boss fights.

3 guaranteed adamant shard droppers in there. And the Eglain rep heavy shield will be a definite upgrade for Claryne, the Mighty Hobbit Guard.
Yeah I’m one of those - Clarysta, Claryna, Clarynette, Claryssa, Claryne and even now Clarynce and Clarye. My friends call me C, everyone else calls me Clary, and there was that one special person who decided to try Clar Bear the first time we met. Made me shoot diet coke out my nose.
Which is just a terrible waste of Caffeine, if you know what I mean.
